Introducing Version 2.0 of the Original KGS Baseball® CRT Belt. This updated model includes both 10" and 12" resistance cables, a protective outer sleeve, and a mesh carrying bag for an improved training experience.
The Catcher Resistance Training (CRT) Belt was designed to make resisted receiving work simple, portable, and effective. By placing the resistance point at the catcher's waist, the CRT Belt allows you to train glove strength and efficient, repeatable receiving movements without being tethered to a fence, machine, or training partner.
Receiving continues to play an important role in helping pitchers earn strikes, collect outs, and prevent runs. But there isn't one movement or technique that works for every catcher. The CRT Belt provides resistance while allowing you to train the glove actions and movement patterns that work for you.
Developed through experience in professional baseball and now used by catchers and coaches throughout the professional, collegiate, and amateur game, the CRT Belt gives you a simple way to add resistance and intent to your receiving work.
Fine tune what makes you, you.
Recommended for catchers ages 9 and up, from youth through professional baseball.
RESISTANCE: Comparable to a standard red (Mini) Sorinex resistance band (approximately 20–25 lb. of resistance).
RECOMMENDED USE: Dry patterning, barehand drills, gloved receiving, weighted-ball drills, and more. Machine work completed at your own risk. See full disclaimer above.
The CRT Belt came from a simple problem: while looking for somewhere to attach a resistance band for receiving work, there wasn't a good option.
So we eliminated the need for one.
Instead of requiring a fence, weight, machine, or other fixed anchor point, the CRT Belt puts the resistance on the catcher. Grab your glove, put on the belt, and get to work.
That idea still represents what KGS Baseball is about today: creating practical tools that make training simpler without dictating how an individual athlete should move.
Keep the Game Simple.
